Because I think nostalgia is a hate crime against reason, and that reverence for music from yesteryear operates with the same mental receptors as nationalism, I believe that liking old music is pretty much endorsing Hitler. So I just avoid it completely.

However, the other day I stumbled across this clip on youtube and immediately said to myself “what the fuck is this beautiful noise?” Upon investigation I discovered it was ELO (a name I had heard of, but a music I hadn’t), and I have been listening to it ever since.

So excuse me while I go invade Poland with driving moog basslines, falsetto harmonies, and sweeping strings.
